I was watching a very interesting show called ‘Stan Lee’s Superhumans,’ which highlighted a musician with autisim. This guy could remember note for note any song hey had ever heard simply once. They stated that what happens with autisim is that certain portions of the brain are shut off yet focusing most of its energy on one area and why he was so gifted with music. I thought this was very interesting and how much this relates to success in the exercise world. So many people brag about their abilities as multitaskers but I simply can’t take this seriously. This is a perfect example of how important focus is in regards to doing good, excuse me, GREAT in one particular area. While the show mentions the brain is responsible for hundreds of tasks at once, its important to note that these are subconcious processes. I find this as a great example of the power of single minded focus to accomplish your goals!
