The 2013 Lab Gym Open Weightlifting and CrossFit Competition on Saturday, November 2nd was the biggest and best ever with over 80 registered competitors! The Weightlifting Competition is an annual USAW sanctioned event that attracts top lifters of all ages and divisions. Now with the explosive growth in Heavy Metal CrossFit, the CrossFit competition was fierce too! Wow what a day ! Thank you to everyone who came out to compete and spectate!!! And a special thanks to all the workers and volunteers! And a huge shout out to those who make Team Lab possible! Especially, Pat, Jimmy, Brian, Benn, Matt, Zach who not only helped out, but also coached, AND competed today!!! THANK YOU!
Team Lab’s Mindy Rottelini House won “Best Lifter”! Mindy basically had to match or hit a PR on both lifts to qualify for the American Open and in what was described by referee Dan White as an epic performance, she nailed it! Mindy had big thanks all around for the Team Lab coaching team and her Team Lab teammates! The Best Male Lifter was Ethan Harak competing in the Junior Division.
Once again Christian Mendoza captured the day with some great shots of the competitors fighting for each lift with their heart and soul!
You can check out his photography here and check out the detailed
