Daily Trainer’s Tasks & General Daily Responsibilities:

 NO EXCEPTIONS = EVERY SHIFT

 1) 15 min rule: Arrive 15 min before the scheduled time of your first client

    1. Review prepped workouts for clients in upcoming shift

i. ***Considering you prepped them before you left last time, otherwise you are in a mad dash prepping the workouts for THIS shift.

2) Before shift: Update google calender/schedule/Mind Body:

    1. Check/update changes in day/shift/week

i. Also, to see any changes made FOR you

ii. This affects your paycheck!

3) Punctuality/Professionalism:

    1. Start and end workouts on time (delivering a total of 60 min of service).  If you were getting a massage and you paid for 60 minutes but they only gave you 55 minutes.  You would be mad too.  Or, if they were checking their cell phone.

4) Deliver world class workouts:

    1. If and when you can do that: have fun doing it (not the other way around)

i. Note taking/coaching/spotting/motivating/ hustling

ii. Etc, etc, etc…

 5) Clean up: weight room and/or any area/equipment you used:

    1. Put away weights, benches, bars, mats, collars, etc
    2. Even if you didn’t use it and its out. PUT IT AWAY!

i. No finger pointing, we are a team.

    1. A.B.C: ‘Always Be Cleaning’ or’ clean as you go’

6) Sign out sheets: Have clients sign out sheets every workout (and confirm next appointment! Helps to give them a teaser too.  See you next time for squats!  Got you set for anither big PR!)

    1. a. This affects your paycheck!

7) Prep workouts for next shift (the night before!)

    1. Also recommended to prep next workout of the one just completed this shift as it is fresh in your head AND more importantly next workout to be performed (or in same cases prep as you go  if it does not slow you down)

8) After shift: Update google schedule/calendar/MindBody: to confirm shift appointments/session trained etc.

    1. Confirm session trained, 24 hour cancellations, no show, and any new changes since the start of the shift (confirm with management it they are APPROVED situations)

i. This affects your paycheck!

9) Touch base with the training director &/or management:

    1. About any relevant/necessary issue so that a proper time/place can be established to deal with matters (on a time that works for both of you, not just you).  If they audit your workout cards follow through with them!

IF YOU ARE NOT TRAINING A CLIENT:

10) Shadow: if/when necessary when you don’t have a client.  The more/faster you learn the faster your pay level can go up.

11) Study time: you should be working toward your next certification or studying the Lab training tools

12) ‘Float’: hang out in clients the gym, keep it clean, assist members if needed & as always help keep a positive and professional upbeat culture (and not anything contrary to this)

13) Check your email!!! Due to the very flexible scheduling many of you have staying in touch with everyone is VERY challenging an email/text communication MUST OCCUR!!!

Other:

BE professional, BE assertive , BE proactive, BE positive, BE motivational, BE a team player,

 but mostly…BE AWESOME;)

Finally, In reality ALL of these points will: Affect your paycheck!!!
